The Homeland Security Bureau, under the direction of Assistant Chief Tommy Tine, was launched to provide prevention, preparedness and response related to all hazards. This bureau includes:

Communications and Technology

Specialized Response consisting of Special Operations and Aviation

TXTF2 at Reliant Arena during Hurricane Ike.

The United States government's national threat level is Elevated, or Yellow.

For all domestic and international flights, the U.S. threat level is High, or Orange.
