Details: Firefighters enroute to what they believed was a medical call, arrived to find a lot of smoke coming from a one-story brick home. A 9-1-1 call had been placed from the home moments earlier but there was not enough information given to know that the house was on fire. Firefighters immediately called for a structure fire response and started fighting the fire as other units were on the way to assist. Even with an aggressive interior attack on the fire, firefighters were unable to rescue the two victims. A 90-year old male and his 44-year old daughter died as a result of the fire. Another female, who was also related, was in the home at the time the fire started and was able to escape without injury. The names of the two victims are not yet being released. Fire investigators have determined the cause of the fire to be an electrical short in the living room.
