Details: Firefighters arriving to the 2-story apartment complex found fire already on the first and second floors, and quickly moving into the attic area.  With an aggressive interior attack, firefighters were able to cut the fire off above the 2nd floor and keep it from extending further.  The building had a total of 8 apartment units, 4 on each floor.  There was heavy fire damage to three of these units, while the other 5 suffered varying degrees of smoke and water damage.  Investigators say that the fire started in a bedroom of one of the downstairs apartments, and quickly spread to the 2nd floor.  Investigators have determined that an electrical short in the downstairs bedroom is the cause of the early morning blaze.  Red Cross volunteers and property management are working to find the displaced residents temporary accommodations.  There were no injuries reported during this incident.
