$40,000-Structure Details: Dallas Firefighters responding to the Midway Office Tower this morning arrived to find fire in a 4th floor office. This is a 6-story building with a monitored fire alarm system. The original call came from the fire alarm monitoring company as the system was activated. As firefighters were already on the way, some calls were received from inside the building. A small number of people were working in the building early Saturday morning and all were able to evacuate as the alarm sounded. An aggressive interior fire attack by first arriving crews was able to confine the fire to the 4th floor office where it started. There is smoke damage to surrounding offices on the 4th floor as well as on the floors above and below the fire. No injuries were reported during this incident and the cause is still under investigation.
