Recruits Complete Training

Details:  Dallas Fire-Rescue is proud to announce the graduation of 35 new recruits from the training academy.  Although these recruits were already well into the training cycle, they are the first group to be assigned to the stations since the September 11th tragedy.  The training course, which takes approximately 15 months to complete, consists of both fire training and paramedic training.  These recruits will join the Emergency Operations team as certified firefighter / paramedics, and will report to their new assignments at area fire stations next week.  Along with the 35 members from Dallas, recruits from Mesquite, Garland and Carrollton also participated.  In all, 47 recruits completed the training.  The official graduation ceremony is a time for family and friends to join in the recognition of their accomplishment.
