Just after 8:00 a.m. this morning, a
Rescue unit was summoned to the Dallas Fire-Rescue training facility
following the collapse of trainee Wayne Clarke. Mr. Clarke was
transported to Baylor Hospital in critical condition, where he was
pronounced deceased shortly after 9:00 a.m. At the time of his
collapse, Mr. Clarke was participating in exercises at the facility's
drill tower. The actual cause of death will be determined by
the Dallas County Medical Examiner.
Mr. Clarke is married, and the father of
two children. Notification to family members of the incident
was completed late this morning. Funeral arrangements are
pending at this time. |
