Details: A citizen driving down the street noticed smoke
coming from the large one story warehouse and called 9-1-1. First arriving firefighters
reported quite a bit of smoke showing from the southwest corner of the
building. The large building is home to
several businesses, and there were some people working on the opposite side of
the building that had no indication there was a fire. This particular building is not equipped with
a sprinkler system and does not have a central fire alarm. Fire investigators believe the fire started
in an office area and extended above the ceiling and further into the building
after growing undetected. It took firefighters
about an hour to bring the fire completely under control. Fire investigators are still working to
determine what started the fire and there were no injuries reported during this
incident.
