Upon arrival at the two-story apartment complex, firefighters reported fire coming through the roof and immediately requested a 2nd alarm. The fire eventually reached 4-alarms, before being brought under control 90 minutes later.  Residents knocked on doors, assisting in safe evacuation and there were no reported injuries to firefighters or civilians. Nine units were damaged by fire, and an additional nine units were damaged by smoke and water. The early morning fire displaced approximately 50 residents. Apartment management and the American Red Cross are assisting the displaced residents with housing and basic services. Fire investigators are still working to determine the cause of the fire at this time.
