Dallas Firefighters Conducting Annual
"Fill the Boot" Campaign

Details: It's that time again! The "Fill the Boot" campaign is underway and Dallas firefighters are ready to help raise funds for a great cause. The campaign kicks off this morning and ends on Saturday, April 21, 2001. On theses dates, firefighters will be out at various intersection throughout the city to collect funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association / Jerry's Kids. "Fill the Boot" will take place primarily during the morning and evening traffic hours. This is an exciting challenge for our firefighters. Last year they collected over $245,000, which placed them second in the State of Texas and fifth in the nation among collecting departments. This year, our goal is to collect at least $300,000. The Dallas Fire-Rescue Department invites you to come out and show our firefighters working for such a great cause. Help us spread the word to the citizens of Dallas and to the metroplex that firefighters from across the area will be asking for their help. We hope that you will join us in support of "Fill the Boot" for MDA / Jerry's Kids.
