Four Injured in Explosion at
Food Processing Plant

Cause: Undetermined - under investigation.
Injuries: One employee suffered traumatic injury to his legs, and was transported to Parkland Memorial Hospital in serious condition. Three additional employees were taken to Parkland in good condition, two complaining of ringing in the ears, and one with a bruise to the back.
Damages: $ 1,500,000 - Structure
Details:The fire is reported to have occurred in an area of the plant in which mixing - or dough conditioning - is performed. The explosion destroyed the northeast corner of this 29,000 square foot facility. At the time of this release, Dallas firefighters are still on the scene conducting overhaul operations. Fire investigators will begin examining physical evidence when all fire has been extinguished, and the site ruled safe to enter.
