Woman Dies in South Dallas House Fire

Cause: Candle left unattended in a bathroom.
Fatalities: One - a 33-year old female was pronounced deceased at the scene of the fire. Identification of the victim is being withheld pending completion of notifications of next of kin.
Damages: $ 6,000 - Structure
Details:Occupants of the residence reported that they were alerted to the presence of smoke by a smoke detector in the main part of the house. The victim was found, however, in an area that had been built onto the residence as an addition.
