Fireworks Poster Winners to Have Lunch With Firefighters

Details: Dallas Fire-Rescue is proud to announce the winners of a Fireworks Safety Poster contest. DISD fifth graders were asked to submit a poster board with a slogan or picture indicating the hazards involved with fireworks. With assistance from DISD officials, Dallas Fire-Rescue received over 200 entries. The posters will be used at various locations throughout the city to enhance the efforts of Dallas Fire-Rescue and the City of Dallas in alerting the public that fireworks are prohibited within city limits.

The top 5 winners will be treated to lunch with the firefighters at Station 4 and a get a personal fire station tour. The winning posters will be on display and Dallas Fire-Rescue and DISD officials will be present to promote the message of fire safety and community involvement. Two of the winners are from Lida Hooe Elementary School; Cesar Colon and Jorge Enriquez. The remaining winners are from Joseph J. Rhoads Learning Center; Jasmine Dismuke, Laura Hernandez and Ma-Kirah Wilkerson.
