INCIDENT DESCRIPTION |
||||
|
2 alarm Blaze Damages Several Condo Units
A firewall is credited with preventing a devastating fire at the Meadowlark Condos complex this afternoon. A kitchen fire was accidentally started in an upstairs unit and quickly spread to the attic, causing severe fire damage to two units and causing smoke and water damage to three others. A second alarm was transmitted within minutes of the arrival of the first engine crew.
Fire investigators believe personal items left on a cooking stove ignited after the stove was accidentally turned on while the new tenants were in the process of moving in.
There were no reported injuries.
