Dallas Fire-Rescue Hosts Training Exercise

Details: The Dallas Fire-Rescue Training Division will be hosting a demonstration of firefighting and rescue skills Friday evening at their facility. As firefighter recruits complete the requirements of the Fire Academy, this demonstration will serve as a final training exercise before graduation. Recruits are asked to invite their family and friends to join them for the evening’s demonstration. Training Deputy Chief Jack Thrasher will host the event for the visitors as he explains what is involved in the training these recruits have just completed and what the evening’s demonstrations will consist of. The events will include high-rise rappelling, a multi-room structure fire and a propane tank fire. The department is proud to showcase these recruits as they prepare to become part of the Emergency Operations team and protect the citizens of Dallas. The teamwork and abilities that these recruits have learned throughout their training will be clearly evident. We hope that you will join us for this spectacular visual display.
