Early Morning House Fire Claims Two Lives

Details: Firefighters arriving at the one story frame home early Wednesday morning
reported fire already coming through the roof.
Neighbors outside told firefighters that someone was
still inside the home.
Firefighters entered the house through a side door and made an
aggressive interior attack on the fire while others did a quick search. The two victims were found in a back bedroom
and were removed from the house. They
were unable to be revived and were pronounced dead on the scene. The Dallas County Medical Examiner’s office
is working to determine the exact cause of death. Names of the two victims have not yet been
released, pending the notification of the next of kin. Fire investigators worked most of the morning
collecting evidence and conducting interviews.
The cause of the fire remains undetermined at this time and there were
no other injuries reported. The two
fatalities this morning are the 10th and 11th to occur in
