Dallas Fire-Rescue emergency crews, arriving within minutes, found a frightening scene of panic-stricken and injured tenants running and jumping from their apartments.  The fire had already burned through the roof and involved several units.  Crews immediately concentrated on rescuing and evacuating the residents.  In addition to the mentioned injuries, several residents were treated and released on the scene by our Rescues.    12 units were destroyed by fire and 4 others were damaged by smoke and water.  At least 28 adults and 12 children were displaced.  The American Red Cross is currently assisting the families with their immediate needs.  They are asking for help in the form of donations to help these and other families affected by several fires during the past several days.  Anyone wishing to give to the local disaster fund may call 214-678-4800.
