PETCO Raises Money for Ashly

Recently, a police canine partner lost his life when he was unintentionally left in a hot squad car after a long day of training.  The death has raised a concern within our own department as to the safety of our accelerant-detecting canine, Ashly.  As a result, it was agreed upon to have the Arson canine vehicle equipped with an automatic safety system.  PETCO, a national vendor of pet supplies, has stepped in and offered to help raise the funds necessary to make this possible. 

On Saturday, August 14, PETCO will be collecting donations for Ashly at their Cedar Hill store, located at 433 FM 1382 (@HWY67) from the hours of 12pm to 2pm.  The store will set up a collection box inside the store for anyone interested in donating money to benefit one of Dallas Fire-Rescue’s most recognized member.
