Details:Dallas Firefighters battled a 5-alarm fire at 9009 Bruton Road, the Bruton Terrace Mall, on February 4, 2000. The fire started in the Dollar General Store. Damages were estimated to be at least $2,500,000 and the store itself was a total loss. Fire Investigators stated that the cause of the fire was incendiary. Fortunately, there were no injuries or fire fatalities reported.
Arson Investigators have been following up leads and conducting interviews for the past six months. Last week they announced that an arrest had been made.
They have charged a 15 year-old male with Arson. He has apparently confessed to starting the fire at the General Dollar Store.
