Incident Description

DALLAS FIREFIGHTERS BATTLE TWO ALARM BLAZE, ONE CIVILIAN FIRE FATALITY

On Sunday, September 28, 2003 at 3:08 A.M. Ten companies of Firefighters, five Chief Officers and two Rescue Ambulances responded to a multi-alarm structure fire at 7802 Millstone Dr in the Claremont Apts.  First units on scene reported out with “a lot of fire coming out of the front” of the two-story apartments, Dallas Fire-Rescue quickly extinguished the fire. Five residents were able to escape the fire; unfortunately one female (27) did not, and became the 16th Fire Fatality this year. Dallas Fire-Rescue’s, investigation is ongoing and neither cause nor damage estimates are being released at this time.
