The City of
Dallas Aviation, Fire-Rescue, and Police Departments will join
employees from Southwest, Continental, and Delta Airlines to
exercise Love Field’s plan to respond to emergencies involving a
fallen aircraft with multiple injuries. This exercise is being held
to fulfill certification requirements of the Federal Aviation
Administration for commercial airports.
Media wishing to
cover the exercise should enter the airport property on Cedar
Springs Road, from Mockingbird Lane, and proceed to East Public
Parking Lot. Space will be made available for vehicles, including
live trucks. Personnel will be escorted to a media staging area on
the field. Representatives of participating agencies will be on
site to provide information as the exercise progresses.
