Six-Alarm Fire

Cause:
|
Although the cause of the fire remains under investigation, fire
investigators have determined that it began on a stove-top in a
second floor unit. The fire spread into the stove’s vent-a-hood,
and then into the attic. The attic did not have fire walls.

American Red Cross
volunteers are working today at the Ridgewood Recreation Center,
6818 Fisher. The volunteers will remain at the facility to assist
displaced residents in their efforts to identify alternative
housing, and to assist residents in replacing critical household
items and medications |
