Fire-Rescue Arson investigators arrested a 15 year-old male today,
after an extensive and tedious investigation of the 3-alarm fire at
the Dallas National Golf Club in west Oak Cliff. Investigators
collected enough information to arrest the juvenile for his direct
involvement in the fire that caused more than 1.5 million dollars in
property damage. He has been charged with felony arson and is
currently being held at the Lone Star Juvenile Facility.
DFD Arson
investigators received assistance from ATF agents throughout the
investigation, which began on April 30, 2003, the day of the blaze.
The fire consumed the 25,000 square foot wooden frame building,
which was still under construction.
