Details: Upon arrival, Dallas Firefighters noticed heavy smoke coming out
of the flue located on the roof of this five-story building. This flue was
connected to a barbeque pit, used by Sonny Bryan’s Barbeque, located in the
basement of the building. The fire started in the flue and traveled up. Fire
was also found in the walls between the 1st and 2nd
floors. The cause of this fire is failure to clean the barbeque pit and flue.
One firefighter was injured at the scene with minor lacerations to his arm and
was treated on the scene.
